Dr. John Murray has lived in Clinton since 1965 and has practiced from the home office at 10 Anderson Road since December 1986. His daughter and son-in-law joined him. All three live, work, and raise their families here.
Chiropractic, through personally being adjusted at 17, changed my life. It gave me a cadence — and an innate feeling that it was just right for me. I had no plans for college or chiropractic, but it moved me emotionally to provide a vital, service-based approach to health and chiropractic healing.
— Dr. John Murray, founderI make no claims that I am "better" than anyone else. We view each patient as a person and whole being — a vitalistic, whole-body approach, with analysis across a broad spectrum, that allows us to help a person heal physically and emotionally.
— Dr. John MurrayMurray Chiropractic was founded by Dr. John G. Murray Jr. in June 1980, after he graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Over the past 46 years, the practice has grown into one of the most trusted chiropractic clinics in New Jersey — built on care plans shaped to each patient rather than a standard protocol.
Dr. John has personally performed over 1.1 million adjustments — a number that reflects both the trust the community has placed in the practice and the operational discipline required to maintain that level of care over four-plus decades.
All three doctors are graduates of Palmer College of Chiropractic — the profession's oldest and most respected institution, founded in 1897. The shared training produces consistency of clinical philosophy across the practice.

Murray Chiropractic operates on a few core principles. The most important is the contract Dr. John establishes with every new patient, in his own words.
Healing takes time and it won't be easy, but it will be worth it. Lifestyle modification is required to optimize your results. You will learn how to help yourself through understanding and practical application. Patient participation is required.
— Dr. John MurrayWhen a patient comes in, we explain what we can and cannot help with. We don't oversell outcomes. If chiropractic isn't the right fit for a condition, we'll tell you and refer you appropriately.
Most chiropractic conditions take time to resolve fully. We set care plans that reflect what your body actually needs — not what produces the most appointments. We also explain why finishing a plan matters, even when you start feeling better.
We accept all carriers and are in-network with Horizon BCBS NJ and Medicare. We handle the billing on your behalf — including out-of-network claims — so you don't have to navigate the paperwork yourself.
We've been here for 46 years. Many of our current patients are the children and grandchildren of patients we first saw decades ago. That continuity is what makes a family practice work.
We'll determine whether chiropractic care is the right fit for you. Honest answers, no pressure.
