Our commitment

Murray Chiropractic, LLC, doing business as Hunterdon Back Pain Center, is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We treat it as ongoing work and fix issues as we find them or as they are reported to us.

The standard we work toward

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

We describe our conformance as partial: most of the site meets this standard, and the exceptions we are aware of are listed below.

What we have done

  • Semantic structure. Pages use real headings, lists, and landmark regions so screen readers can navigate them predictably.
  • Keyboard access. Navigation, menus, accordions, and buttons can be operated without a mouse, with visible focus indicators.
  • Text alternatives. Meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Color contrast. Text and interface colors were chosen to meet contrast minimums, and color is never the only way information is conveyed.
  • Reduced motion. Animations on this site are subtle and are switched off automatically for visitors whose device requests reduced motion.
  • Responsive text. The site reflows and remains readable when zoomed or viewed on small screens.
  • Descriptive links. Link text describes its destination rather than relying on "click here."

Known limitations

We want to be straightforward about the gaps we know about:

  • Embedded video. Our welcome video plays in a Vimeo player. We do not control that player's interface, and the video does not yet have captions or a transcript. If you would like the content of the video in another format, call us and we will walk you through it.
  • Embedded map. The Google Map on our contact page is a third-party component whose accessibility we do not control. Our full address and written directions are provided as text on the same page.
  • Documents. Any forms or documents we add in the future may not be fully tagged for accessibility. We will provide an accessible alternative on request.

Accessibility at our office

If you need an accommodation for your visit — help with paperwork, extra time, a specific room, or assistance getting into the building — please tell us when you call to schedule. We will make arrangements in advance so your visit goes smoothly.

Need help right now?

If any part of this website prevents you from getting the information you need, call us at (908) 638-4144 and a member of our staff will read it to you, answer your question, or schedule your appointment over the phone. You should never have to fight a website to reach our office.

Give us feedback

We welcome reports of accessibility barriers. Please tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what went wrong. We aim to respond within five business days.
