Two areas of focus, one family practice

For nearly five decades, families across Hunterdon County have trusted us with three generations of patients. Pediatric and prenatal care are a natural extension of that — the same gentle, conservative approach, calibrated to the smallest and most delicate patients we see.

Pediatric Care

Dr. John has been adjusting children for 45 years, including patients under one year of age. Dr. Hilary also adjusts babies and works with families of young children. Pediatric adjusting uses very light, gentle pressure — nothing like an adult adjustment — calibrated to the child's size and stage of development.

Prenatal & Postpartum

Anchored by Dr. John's Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) certification and Dr. Hilary's prenatal protocols (SOT and side-lying Cox Technic). Dr. Hilary works with patients through pregnancy and after delivery, with a focus on women's musculoskeletal health at every stage.

Pediatric chiropractic, the gentle way

Parents are often surprised by how light a pediatric adjustment is. There's no forceful cracking or twisting — the doctor uses fingertip pressure and gentle, specific contacts appropriate to a child's age and size. Dr. John has done this for 45 years, treating patients from under one year of age through their teens, and Dr. Hilary adjusts babies as well.

Infants & Newborns

Very light, gentle contacts for the youngest patients — calibrated entirely to the baby's size.

Growing Children

Care that accounts for posture, activity, backpacks, sports, and the demands of a growing spine.

Active & Athletic Kids

Support for young athletes alongside our broader sports-injury experience.

Age-Appropriate Technique

Force and approach are matched to each child — never a scaled-down adult adjustment.

Prenatal & postpartum care

Pregnancy changes the way the body carries weight and moves — the pelvis, the sacroiliac joints, and the lower back all adapt over nine months. Our prenatal care is built around Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), a gentle, low-force method well-suited to the sacroiliac and pelvic changes of pregnancy. Dr. John is SOT-certified, and Dr. Hilary uses SOT together with side-lying Cox Technic so expecting patients can be treated comfortably.

Care continues after delivery. Postpartum, the body recovers from the physical demands of pregnancy and birth, and Dr. Hilary works with new mothers on the musculoskeletal side of that recovery.

SOT-Anchored Prenatal Care

Gentle technique focused on the sacroiliac and pelvic changes common in pregnancy.

Comfortable Positioning

Side-lying Cox Technic lets expecting patients be treated comfortably at every trimester.

Postpartum Recovery

Support for the musculoskeletal side of recovery in the weeks and months after delivery.

Women's Musculoskeletal Health

Dr. Hilary's particular focus, from pregnancy through every stage of life.

"Chiropractic has been part of my life since the day I was born — my father gave me my first adjustment as a newborn. I received care from Dr. John and Dr. Zak throughout both of my own pregnancies."

What to expect on your first visit

Consultation & history

We'll talk through your child's history, or your pregnancy and any discomfort you're experiencing. Questions are always welcome.

Gentle evaluation

An age- and stage-appropriate exam. For pediatric patients, this is light and unhurried; for prenatal patients, positioning is adapted for comfort.

Honest recommendation

We tell you whether chiropractic care is appropriate — and if it isn't the right fit, we say so and point you in the right direction.

Gentle first treatment

If appropriate, care begins that same visit with light, specific technique matched to the patient.

Frequently asked questions

Do you treat children and infants?
Yes. Dr. John has been adjusting children for 45 years, including patients under one year of age. Dr. Hilary also adjusts babies. We use age-appropriate, gentle techniques calibrated to the patient — pediatric care is nothing like an adult adjustment.
Is chiropractic adjustment safe for babies?
Pediatric adjusting uses very light, gentle pressure — fingertip contacts, no forceful cracking or twisting. The force is calibrated to the child's size and stage of development. Dr. John has done this for 45 years and Dr. Hilary adjusts babies as well.
Do you treat pregnant patients?
Yes. Dr. John is certified in Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), which is well-suited to the sacroiliac joint issues common during pregnancy. Dr. Hilary uses SOT and side-lying Cox Technic for her prenatal patients, and provides postpartum care as well.
What is SOT, and why does it matter for prenatal care?
Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) is a gentle, low-force method focused on the relationship between the sacrum and the base of the skull. It's well-suited to the sacroiliac and pelvic changes of pregnancy, which is why it anchors our prenatal approach.
Do you take our insurance?
We accept all insurance carriers and are in-network with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and Medicare. We'll verify your benefits before your first visit. See our insurance page for details.
