The high school sits on Route 31 barely two miles from our door.

Annandale's mean commute is 30.1 minutes, and it splits two ways: the Raritan Valley Line out of Annandale station, or I-78 east. North Hunterdon High School draws from five townships and has a deep athletic program — ten girls' cross country group titles, plus wrestling, field hockey, and softball state championships. All three of our doctors were collegiate athletes. We treat young athletes as athletes: the goal is returning to the season, not sitting it out by default.
The Annandale Historic District covers 191 contributing buildings — Jones Tavern, the old Annandale Hotel, the Reformed Church. Nineteenth-century houses come with narrow stairs and low basements, and the maintenance they demand is genuinely physical work. Homeowners in old housing stock do more lifting, kneeling, and overhead reaching than they usually give themselves credit for.
