Whitehouse Station is about twelve miles east — twenty minutes by way of Route 22 and I-78, off at Exit 17. Close enough that our Readington patients tend to book a standing appointment rather than call when something goes wrong.
Whitehouse Station has the oldest median age of any community we serve, by a wide margin: 50.8, against a Hunterdon median of 46.3. It is also affluent and highly educated — median household income $110,483, and 58.9% with a bachelor's degree or higher. Merck's global headquarters sat here for over twenty-three years before the move to Rahway; UNICOM Global bought the campus in 2018 and runs it as a science and technology park.
The mean commute is 27.3 minutes, well under the county's 33, because a lot of this town has always worked in this town — the UNICOM campus, Readington Farms, the Route 22 corridor. So the story here is not the commute. It is that this is our oldest patient population, and older patients get the most out of consistent care. Our Aging with Grace program is Medicare-participating, and it is the reason many Readington families have been with us across three generations.

Between the UNICOM Science and Technology Park on the former Merck campus, Readington Farms, and the Route 22 corridor, a substantial share of Whitehouse Station works close to home. Readington Farms is Wakefern's milk processing plant — plant work, cold environments, and shift schedules, which is a different physical picture from the lab and office work on the technology campus a mile away. Both come to us, and they need different plans.
Solberg-Hunterdon Airport hosts the New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning each July, one of the state's largest annual events, and Readington is a major farmland-preservation township full of working farms and horse property. Riding is one of the most spine-loading recreational activities there is, and horse people are famously reluctant to stop. We would rather manage it than argue about it.
From Main Street take County 523 to Route 22 west, join I-78, and come off at Exit 17 for Route 31 north, then Van Syckle's Road. We are at 10 Anderson Rd beside Spruce Run — two miles north of the exit. Free parking. If you drive Route 22 or I-78 daily, we are a small detour rather than a separate trip.
